Last Fling

For those who are married or almost married, have you ever had your last fling? Somehow, this phrase interests me coz lately many of my friends, both by chat and long hours of phone calls, came to me to spill out their little ‘adventure’ of cheating, adultery, infidelity, betrayal…or whatever it is you wanna call it.

In the western culture, last fling is more specific, often defined as ‘last sex’ before they get married. Getting into strip clubs and hook-up with some stripper or hooker. In some cases, it can even be, merely with a friend.

Well, here in the eastern part of the world, my friends have also had their last flings. But it differs with the western style, definitely not a one nite stand, but more of a deep flirting or it can even be a relationship (now this one can definitely jeopardize their relationship with the lover!). Sadly, in the cases I’ve know, this is the most frequent one. 

Well first it started as a ‘nothing’. They all say it’s just a joke, a harmless flirt. Then they start to go out with this ‘outsider’, they enjoy it, they do it more often and so on…. and so on, well you know the rest. They’ve been warned to be careful, it might get into sumthin, but they always say….”Naaa it’s nothing, we’re just friends hanging out, I’m getting married soon”. And before they realize it, they fall in love..... and that nothin....turns into sumthin! Hah!

They say, “Gosh, what have gotten into me! Now how can I get out of this mess! I love my fiancée, but I also love this other one”.

Other than just playin 'innocent' and not really knowing what they're really getting themselves into, others actually INTEND to seek for 'alernatives' before getting stuck with a person for the rest of their lives. Then they're not sure with the one they chose right? (If your'e not sure, maybe you should reconsider). Hahaha.

Well, stop messing around!! Don’t get near a fire if you don’t want to catch one! And don’t feel that you HAVE to do it, that this is your last chance of fooling around. Coz you think that once you get married you cant fool around anymore. Well, (ethically) you cant! And even if you’re not married yet, but already committed, you CANT either!! Well you know what, fellas, now you cant enjoy your wedding 100%, coz in that other half brain of yours, there’s that other someone. Haha! I’m not sure whether I should be laughing or feeling sorry.

Maybe both.

In few cases, I’ve also encountered those who have not had a last fling before their marriage. But, geez….. I don’t know it’s whether they; have some problems in their marriage - or is it that they regret not ever having a last fling - or they are simply just itchy b***hy -, somehow, they have their last fling AFTER their marriage. Say WHAT!! That’s not a last fling anymore, is it?!

Now I’m just laughing.

All I can say is, everything you do has its consequences. Deal with it! Synchronize your heart and your brain, think before you act! Coz somebody could get hurt! Take responsibility of your own (stupid) actions! Haha! Personally, for me, I can live without any last flings in my life. Loyalty is the best policy.

Yeahh right…..(and Bill Clinton really didnt have a fling with Monica Lewinsky). ^_^

Jadi gini Mir, orang mau last fling atau tidak itu emang tergantung niatnya. Dan tidak semua last fling itu berakibat buruk.
Kita bisa kok menghapus kenangan last fling, tentunya tergantung niat kita juga. Seperti orang mau berhenti merokok lah.
Jadi bagi yang belum menikah, ber-last fling lah sepuas2nya dulu.

Last fling mungkin memang tidak slalu berakibat buruk pd akhirnya, dan mgkn saja mjd sesuatu yg indah.... tp yg jelas, pasti ada pihak yg tersakiti. Dan yg paling pokok, mau bgmanapun versi cerita or ending nya, last fling adalah suatu bentuk pengkhianatan. Aku tahu kita berbeda pendapat dg hal ini Don, sudah sering kita bicarakan bukan? when u are in the early 20's last fling could really save your life, when you are in the late 30's last fling may jeopardize your dream of marriage and you will have to start it all over again in your late 30's, that's kinda hard...so, just consider your age! hahaha
